Dreams Don’t Burn Out. They Fade Away.
What if dreams don’t die, the way we talk about.
What if dreams don’t burn out in a bright flash, they literally just fade away, a little more, every single day, every week, every month, every year that we don’t pursue them.
We always think everything is so sudden. So dramatic. We have these dreams of writing, making, building, founding a startup, building an app, recording an album, skating, surfing, and we’re so scared that those dreams will die.
But with every second that ticks by that we don’t spend working on those dreams, they fade. Slowly. Until there’s nothing left, and there’s nothing but memories of a time when we wanted something more.
If there’s a dream that has meaning for you, you have to spend time on it. 5 minutes a day. 10 minutes a day. More, if you can. More, when you can. Every drop of sweat is going to make a difference. Every idle thought that you refocus on the Plan is going to make a difference. And every time you push it off, you delay it, you let it fade.
I think you can make a lot of dreams come true. I think anything is possible — when you work on it, and show dedication to it, and drag yourself out of bed and away from your phone and off Netflix and you push.
Your dream won’t die if you don’t do this. That implies a moment of change. Your dream will go so slowly that you won’t even notice it. And you can’t let that happen.

Nicely written! :)
